Maintenance Tech III
Maintenance Technician III is responsible for efficient operation and maintenance of both production equipment and general infrastructure and facility systems. Maintain production and quality by ensuring continuous operation of machinery and supporting equipment through the execution of a comprehensive maintenance effort.
None at this time, however, the individual in this role may supervise other maintenance technicians in the future.
Conduct regular inspections of key infrastructure, grounds and systems, address discrepancies and ensure the upkeep of all areas of the facility.
Maintain and repair production support equipment including motors, pumps, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, production plumbing systems, simple electrical systems and other production-related equipment.
Troubleshoot production equipment malfunctions and repairs as needed.
Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on production equipment.
Keep record of all day-to-day maintenance and service activities undertaken in the facility.
Oversee the planning and execution of new equipment installations.
Create and assist in the implementation of maintenance programs to include operator and preventive maintenance activities for each department's major pieces of equipment.
Communicate with the production team on the scheduling of maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
Prepare and submit maintenance reports including downtime reports, PM schedules and completion statuses.
Maintain stock of high-moving spare parts and equipment to minimize equipment downtime in a forward-looking manner.
Coordinate and supervise external maintenance service providers and maintain external maintenance vendors for all needed outsourced maintenance. (i.e.: Repair of CNC machines, Compressor maintenance)
Oversee the maintenance budget and ensure costs are kept within budget while improving productivity.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, governmental requirements, OSHA, EPA, and NJDEP standards.
Knowledge of Microsoft office and maintenance systems
Excellent Math, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to carry out various trade activities, such as machining, electrical, welding, plumbing, etc.
Ability to lift, climb ladders, platforms, and work in tight spaces in and around machinery
Adept with hand and power tools
Forklift Certified (or eligible)
Must be able to troubleshoot electrical, controls and plumbing systems
Good organization skills
Ability to manage and coordinate work of others
Good time-management skills.
Good communication skills.
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ten (5) years' experience as Maintenance Technician in industrial maintenance facilities
Three (3) years' experience in a manufacturing environment
In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems maintenance
Position requires a valid driver license.
