Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated GMP Utilities Mechanic / Process Controls Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment and clean utility systems in a regulated cGMP environment. The ideal candidate will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, monitor utility systems, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure reliable operation of critical manufacturing equipment while adhering to GMP and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor, operate, and maintain cGMP utility systems, including Purified Water (PW), Clean Steam, CIP systems, autoclaves, glass washers, vacuum systems, pumps, valves, and manufacturing process equipment.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues, and document all maintenance activities in accordance with SOPs and GMP requirements.
- Interpret P&IDs, mechanical, electrical, and control schematics to diagnose equipment issues and support system reliability.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Facilities, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure equipment availability, regulatory compliance, and continuous process improvement.
- Support equipment inspections, emergency repairs, and on-call maintenance activities while maintaining accurate maintenance records.
- High School Diploma or Associate's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field (Technical/Trade School preferred).
- 0–5 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, diagnostics, medical device, or industrial manufacturing environments.
- Hands‑on experience with mechanical equipment, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and industrial utility systems.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and electrical schematics.
- Strong communication, documentation, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance systems (CMMS) is a plus.
