Field Service Technician II

The Field Service Technician II performs activities related to product readiness for patient utilization across a wide range of rental and customer-owned medical products. Responsibilities include cleaning, disinfecting, functional checks, and minor repairs of Baxter and non-Baxter products. The role requires operating a fleet vehicle safely and providing 24/7 delivery, removal, and service support for products in service centers and at customer accounts, with timely and professional service.

This position involves direct customer contact and contributes to our mission by supporting patients and healthcare professionals in critical moments.

• Performs electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems troubleshooting and repair of assigned products.
• Troubleshoots devices and repairs malfunctioning components.
• Uses appropriate tools to perform adjustments and repairs.
• Provides on-call coverage, up to 24/7, including weekends and holidays, which may require customer site visits.
• Loads, unloads, and removes medical products weighing up to 1680 pounds.
• Generates service revenue and completes activities required under service contracts.
• Safely operates box trucks or company cars ranging from cargo vans to 26,000-pound trucks.

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)

• Technical or trade school training
• DOT physical card (assistance is provided)
• Experience with FDA-regulated products
• Experience in customer service

• Adherence to Hill-Rom safety procedures
• Wearing personal protective equipment including safety shoes, eye protection, gloves, and protective clothing
• Work in environments where biohazards could be present (hospitals, service centers, depots)

We understand compensation is important. Baxter is committed to equitable pay. The salary range for this position is $56,000–$77,000.
