Facilities Maintenance Worker

Help maintain the physical school properties, in order to provide a safe and clean environment for students, staff, and the community.

Typical duties and responsibilities include cleaning and monitoring designated spaces and equipment in the building, assisting in the upkeep of seasonal grounds work, unlocking and locking premises, securing windows, and activating and deactivating alarm systems. You will also clean and maintain custodial equipment daily after each use, take monthly fuel readings, restock consumable items, and provide an inventory of supplies.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), ability to read and interpret documents, knowledge of basic math functions, and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and the community. Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, talking or hearing, reaching with hands and arms, lifting and moving up to 50 pounds, and specific vision abilities.

Preferred requirements include bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Haitian Creole.
