Staff 2: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Schedule:

Monday – Friday (40 hours per week with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break).

Occasional Weekends and Holidays:
May be required depending on facility needs.

We are seeking a Custodial Services Specialist to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks in a healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, staff, and visitors while adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards.

• Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting floors, furniture, and fixtures.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, exam rooms, waiting areas, and other high-touch surfaces.
• Collect and dispose of trash, including biohazardous waste, following proper protocols.
• Operate heavy cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, carpet shampooers, and high-speed polishers.
• Respond to on-demand cleaning requests and emergency spills.
• Maintain custodial closets and ensure supplies are stocked.
• Follow infection control policies and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Perform annual deep cleaning tasks, including floor stripping, waxing, and carpet shampooing.

• Experience:
  
  Minimum 2 years of custodial or housekeeping experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Physical Requirements:
  
  Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.

Skills:

Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and infection control standards. Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively.
