Floor Specialist Supervisor
The floor specialist supervisor oversees the daily activities of the floor care team to ensure all flooring surfaces – including carpet, tile, hardwood, laminate, and specialty surfaces are clean, maintained, and restore to resort standards. This role provides hands on support, schedules and trains team members, monitors quality, and ensures all equipment and chemicals are used safely and effectively.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and are subject to change at management's discretion:
- Displaying teamwork by being a "working supervisor." Working alongside team members ensuring task are performed to the highest standard
- Ensuring that all shift task checklist are completed by the floor specialist and environmental services team
- Properly maintaining and operating industrial floor cleaning equipment:
Carpet extractors, buffers, scrubbers and vacuums - Promoting a safe work environment ensuring all safety procedures are followed by the Team Members
- Maintaining and cleaning all front and back of the house flooring
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Lead, schedule, and coordinate the work of floor specialist across assigned areas or shifts.
- Train new and existing team members on equipment operation, safety procedures, and floor-care technicians.
- Monitor performance, provide coaching and participate in corrective action when needed.
- Ensure staffing levels are adequate for daily workload.
Education and/or Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 2 years or more of professional floor care experience; 1 year of more of supervisory or lead experience preferred.
- Experience with commercial facilities, hospitality, healthcare, or retail environments is a plus.

While performing the duties of this position, the team member is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk or hear. Must be able to use hand held communications devices. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The team member must be able to stand for several hours.

The noise level in the work environment is loud. The team member will be exposed to a second-hand smoke-filled environment. The team member may be exposed to biohazardous fluids such as blood and other body fluids. The team member may be exposed to hostile environments with guest.
