Job Summary It is the intent of the basic job requirements, duties, and responsibilities that any building windows be kept cleaned at all times. These minimum requirements should be referred to as a guide, rather than a limitation to, the services required to maintain the windows clean by Customer’s requirement. Staff will be required to perform the necessary work to maintain the optimum level of cleanliness in every building or worksite serviced by Flag Ship.##

Job Description Essential Functions  Other duties may be assigned, however, the core duties of this position are as follows:  Cleaning of interior and exterior commercial and retail windows within the facility Work at ground level as well as use ladders to reach upper floor windows  Use typical extension poles or water-fed extension pole and water system.  Ability to discuss job with clients  Sometimes using ladders, dusts and washes walls, cleans ceilings and dusts and polishes light fixtures.  

Washes and replaces blinds.  Maintain cart and equipment organized  Periodically dust high partitions and ledges  Clean interior partition glass.  Equipment (such as vacuums) must be properly maintained at all times.
Knowledge and Skills  Must have good listening and verbal communication skills.  Some positions require the ability to speak/understand English.  Must maintain a neat appearance.  A uniform is required at some worksites.  Must attend periodic training and safety meetings.  Must be able to understand and anticipate the needs of the clients.  Must be punctual.
Education and Work Experience  High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.  6 months of experience in commercial facilities and building window cleaning work desired.
Work Environment  Small-to-large office environment.  Safety glasses required while performing certain tasks.  Fast paced work environment.  Safety class performed by Flagship.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  Exposed to a combination of normal office type environments and shop environments.  Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, cleaning products and noise.
Requirements  Be able to pass criminal background requirements.
Physical Demands  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to perform the following repetitive movements: stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear.  

Ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time, including the ability to walk long distances.  The employee may occasionally lift and/or move a minimum of 40 pounds of office and facilities equipment (cleaning products, tools, and ladders) and trash and the ability to safely use equipment provided.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
