Overview

Position Overview:

Bread Alone Maintenance Specialists keep our facilities and equipment up and running. With diverse skills including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, welding, HVAC, and PLCs the Maintenance Specialists work independently and collaboratively to be solution providers in an internal customer service environment.

Bread Alone Specialist hold themselves and their teammates accountable to Bread Alone safety, culture, and employee conduct standards. They have the ability to take action and be effective with competence and autonomy. They collaborate across functions and teams and support the department and company goals.

Maintenance Specialists are required to have at least one year of prior experience or actively enrolled in an approved apprenticeship program. Starting pay is based on experience.

Hours: Full-time;
Wednesday Through Saturday 1:30pm to 12am. We strive to make schedules as manageable as possible to encourage and allow work-life balance.

Duties

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure daily preventative maintenance is performed on equipment as designated by the Director or VP of Facilities.
  • Ensure proper sign-off of work orders has been completed by submitting manager
  • Provide updates regarding ongoing projects during the weekly maintenance meeting
  • Conduct inventory of assigned equipment spare parts, compiling parts orders to be reviewed by the Director or VP of Facilities when necessary
  • Identify best practices for maintaining equipment in and around the facility
  • Continually learning from colleagues, outside service technicians, and enrolling in classes
  • Utilize the work order system to respond to unscheduled maintenance and to follow up with other stakeholders
  • Read and understand blueprints, schematics, manuals, and part diagrams to effectively repair equipment

Job Requirements:

  • Adept with a multitude of specialized tools and equipment
  • Computer literate
  • Must specialize in at least one industry trade
  • Responsible for the safe, efficient, high quality operation of the facilities and equipment
  • Able to stand for long periods of time while executing tasks quickly and accurately
  • Able to work in a physically demanding fast-paced environment
  • Able to tolerate exposure to high levels of heat and cold
  • Able to twist and bend repeatedly for long periods of time
  • Able to pull, push, move and lift to waist level
  • Able to carry awkward and shifting weights up to 50 pounds in a safe and controlled manner
  • Able to work with, handle, operate, and control hot equipment and products in a safe manner according to Bread Alone guidelines
  • Willing to follow all Good Manufacturing Practices which includes but are not limited to:
    Removing any visible or exposed piercings and body jewelry, personal accessories, false nails & refraining from makeup at work
  • Night, weekend and holiday availability based on the needs of the business
  • Respect for and comfort with a diverse and inclusive workplace
  • Able and willing to use personal protective equipment (PPE) and assigned uniform as required per company policy
  • Able to gain proficiency in operating and instructing on the proper use of all systems in use in your department
  • Willing to follow all safety guidelines set out by Bread Alone
  • Willing to take responsibility for your own and others safety by strictly enforcing all safety rules and regulations
  • The Bakery is open 365 days a year and team members must be willing to work consistently throughout the year including holidays and weekends
Compensation

$22.00-$32.00 per hour

Schedule

Wednesday through Saturday 1:30pm to 12am (midnight)
