Title: State Fair Worker, NS (Events-Equipment Operator)

Location: 581 State Fair Blvd, Syracuse, NY 13209

Employment Type: Full-Time (Temporary)

• Maintain event facilities as part of the 24/7 Operations Staff.
• Set up, transport, and install furniture and equipment for special events.
• Perform outdoor maintenance such as shoveling snow, spreading ice‑melt, using leaf blowers, and clearing barn stalls.
• Act as the direct point of contact for event promoters and address their event‑related needs.
• Operate a range of equipment (details below).

• Skid Steers
• Front‑End Loaders
• Tractors with drag attachments
• Street Sweepers
• Tele‑Handlers
• Ariel Lifts (various sizes)
• Scissor Lift
• Ride‑On Floor Scrubber
• Walk‑Behind Scrubber
• Rollers

• 1st Shift: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• 3rd Shift: 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM

• One year of experience operating one or more pieces of the equipment listed above.
• Physical ability to perform light, medium, or heavy labor.
• Valid New York State driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle operated when required.
