Job Description
The NACE Level III Inspector is responsible for overseeing QA/QC activities and verifying contractor compliance with project specifications, particularly for carbon fiber installations on utility infrastructure.
The role includes visually inspecting carbon fiber wrapping to ensure it meets all technical requirements, participating in daily job briefings to review planned work, and maintaining accurate, primarily handwritten documentation. Inspectors typically accompany a company representative or an experienced contractor when entering or exiting tunnels and will work more independently as they become familiar with the environment and procedures. Contractors provide advance notifications of upcoming work, and the inspector ensures all activities are performed in accordance with established standards and safety protocols.
