Custodial Worker

Location: Voorheesville

The Voorheesville Central School District has a current opening for a Custodial Worker. This position is 8 hours/day; may include Saturdays as needed. The duties of a Custodial Worker include routine cleaning, semi-skilled maintenance tasks, and related work as required. The position will be under the supervision of the Custodial Work Supervisor II. Salary and benefits are as stated in the UEV contract.

Examples of Custodial Worker duties include, but are not limited to:

Sweeps, mops and waxes floors

Washes walls, windows and blackboards

Cleans and mops lavatories and locker rooms

Assists with snow removal

Replaces light bulbs, towels, toilet tissue, soap and other supplies

Empties wastebaskets and disposes of rubbish

Makes minor repairs to furniture, electrical fixtures, windows and window shades, locks, faucets,

heating system and other equipment

Receives, moves and stores incoming school supplies

Turns off lights and locks doors

Performs a variety of errands and related custodial duties as needed
