Floor Care Tech

We are looking for an energetic person that loves working with the elderly to join our team of Housekeepers 5pm - 1:30am.

You will be required to work every other weekend

Criminal background check is required.

Must have the Covid-19 vaccine completed due to health care regulations

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. At least a grammar school education.

2. Ability to learn from on-the-job training and in services.

3. Ability to follow oral and written directions.

4. Knowledge of common housecleaning devices.

5. Proper mental attitude for working with the geriatric resident.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Ability to stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up to 20 pounds.

2. Ability to be on your feet 100% of the working day.

3. Ability to work and cooperate with others.

4. Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuing basis.

5. Perform tasks while being respectful and courteous to residents, visitors and other staff member.

6. Safety minded.

7. Motivation in maintaining high standards of cleanliness in assigned area.

8. Accepts responsibilities as a participant in the Eden Alternative Program.

9. Communicates ideas for operational changes that may lead to improved services, cost savings and/or time savings.

10. Maintains compliance with all facility policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines with their assigned work.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Total cleanliness of assigned area which may include:

• Entrances/exits - cleaning of windows, heater and walls

• Lobbies - wipe down all furniture, walls, pictures; mop floor if needed

• Corridors - wipe down handrails, pictures, clean floor if needed.

• Offices - wipe down furniture, empty trash, mop or vacuum floors.

• Resident rooms - shall be cleaned daily: wipe down all surfaces, collect waste, mop floor.

• Utility areas - stock with housekeeping supplies as needed; wipe down all surfaces; mop floor.

• Storage rooms - dust for cobwebs; mop floors.

• Cleaning equipment - wipe down cart; clean buckets.

• Any other assigned duties

2. Attend required staff meetings and in services.

3. Other duties as assigned by Housekeeping Supervisor.

4. To report in maintenance book of furnishings that need repair.

5. Replaces resident name tags on appropriate furniture in resident rooms when necessary.

6. Accepts responsibilities as a participant in the Eden Alternative.

Must work every other weekend and some holidays
