Friday - Tuesday, 12:30pm - 9:00pm. OFF:

Essential duties and responsibilities
  • Responsible for cleaning common areas and vacant apartments
  • Maintain exterior areas
  • Collect and sort trash
  • Salt and shovel snow during inclement weather
  • Some minor handy work may include changing light bulbs, replacing blinds and small paint touch-up jobs
Qualifications, skills and abilities
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • One year or more of Porter experience (building cleaning experience will be considered)
  • Heavy lifting (50+ lbs.) is required
  • Must be available to work weekends, overnights and/or overtime
Salary and benefits

This position is governed by the prevailing wage schedule for building service employees published by the Office of The Comptroller, City of New York. As such, your rate of pay will change based on that schedule. Paid time off and other terms of your employment will be covered by the prevailing wage schedule. In addition to the prevailing wage schedule, you will receive 32 hours of unpaid safe and sick leave available immediately upon your date of hire and refreshed at the start of each calendar year.
