Position Purpose:
Ensures the smooth running of the facility by performing a variety of duties in and around the facility. May do small repairs such as plastering, painting, carpentry, and minor electrical and plumbing repairs. Does work on the facility grounds as needed and ensures that all equipment is properly maintained and functioning. Required to be on call for maintenance-related emergencies.

Educational Requirements:
High school graduate or GED required.

Experience Required:
General maintenance and repair experience required, prior experience working in maintenance or as a Maintenance Director preferred.

Professional Licensure and Certification Required: N/A
* Must have valid driver’s license

Essential Functions

Must operate machinery and equipment, maintain in good repair, and store in an orderly fashion.

Be able to handle and use simple electrical and plumbing equipment and make minor repairs.

Be able to carry, push, and pull large equipment in and out of facility.

Ensure that facility grounds are neat and in order.

Run errands as needed for supplies—requires driving a motor vehicle.

Follow a Preventative Maintenance schedule to ensure the proper care and functioning of essential equipment in the facility.

Participates in inspections (surveys) conducted by authorized agencies.

Participates in quality assurance and improvement processes within the facility.

Demonstrates the mission, vision, and values of the facility through professional excellence.
