Job Description
Directly supervise and coordinate work activities of cleaning personnel to ensure the smooth running of premises to agreed standards and service levels.
Essential Duties- Supervise a team of cleaners, ensuring they know their duties and carry out their work in accordance with company procedures, practices, and health & safety regulations, to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Inspect work performed to verify that it meets specifications and established standards.
- Investigate complaints about service or equipment and take corrective action.
- Recommend changes that could improve service and increase operational efficiency.
- Perform or assist with cleaning duties as necessary.
- Check equipment to ensure it is in working order.
- Inventory stock to ensure supplies and equipment are available in adequate amounts and reorder when needed, ensuring other cleaners have the supplies they need to meet the establishment’s needs.
- Instruct staff in work policies, procedures, and the use and maintenance of equipment.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Minimum 5 years supervisory/management experience, preferably in commercial real estate.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills when directing tasks.
- Ability to work well with a variety of different individuals both inside and outside the organization.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and make decisions.
Normal working conditions with the absence of disagreeable elements.
Salary RangeThe expected base salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $100,000 annually. The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis, taking into account a wide range of factors including relevant skills, experience, education, and applicable licenses or certifications. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package—including health, vision, and dental insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching—this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation, such as discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives.
