Location: New York
Job Summary
Entry level position:
Performs light duty repairs on AMR fleet vehicles, assists senior mechanics and provides logistical support as assigned.
- Perform light mechanical and electrical repairs on AMR vehicles.
- Respond to vehicle breakdowns in the field when requested.
- Provide logistical support for the department. Assist Front Line Mechanics as needed.
- Operate company vehicles in accordance with company policy and safe practices.
- Complete all required paperwork and documentation neatly, correctly and on time using AMR repair orders.
- Use maintenance database to document all completed tasks and job assignments.
- Attend all mandatory fleet related training.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Follow information systems security policies and procedures. Attend security training when offered. Report any security problems.
- Ensure vehicles repaired correctly and in a timely fashion.
- Respond to changing departmental priorities.
- Quickly diagnose and repair vehicles during road call situations.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area.
- Keep documentation complete and neat.
- Accurately account for all parts and materials.
- Maintain good working relationship with all personnel and professional conduct with outside contacts.
- Provide excellent customer service skills.
- Must have a current valid driver’s license.
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- At least 1 year verifiable line mechanic or mechanic helper/associate experience.
- 2 ASE certifications (truck or automotive series). Preferably brake and steering/suspension.
- MACS AC certification or equivalent ASE certification.
- Basic set of personal tools.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Ability to employ discretion and confidentiality in sensitive areas.
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow instructions on memos, letters, various documents and repair manuals.
- Ability to perform the essential job functions.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Basic automotive knowledge and skills necessary to perform maintenance and repairs on company vehicles.
- Must have a full set of personal tools.

Reports to:
Fleet Manager.
Interrelationships:
Operations and other support departments.
