Custodian, Janitorial, Porter, Maintenance Person

Overview

The primary responsibilities of this position involve daily cleaning and maintenance of facilities, including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, window cleaning, and various upkeep tasks. The custodian will also need to maintain supplies inventory, assist with setting up and cleaning for special events, and perform other duties as directed, which may include minor repairs.

• Daily cleaning of facilities.
• Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and shoveling.
• Window cleaning.
• Maintain supplies inventory.
• Provide set up and cleaning for special events.
• Other duties, upkeep, repairs as directed.

• Ability to move, traverse and be on your feet all day.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 30 lbs. up to a height of 3 feet.
• Willingness to clean.
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to properly and safely use cleaning solvents and chemicals.

• Two‑year degree.
• High school diploma.
• Trade school.
• GED to be evaluated.

• Be punctual and work overtime as needed.
• Self‑motivated and able to make on‑the‑spot decisions.
• Recognize and clean areas outside of daily housekeeping needs.
• Ability to communicate and interface with various department personnel.
