About the RoleThis position involves traveling extensively throughout the United States, up to 120 days a year, with work weeks that may exceed 70 hours. The technician will install, maintain, and dismantle large branded timing devices at sporting events, as well as install signage and perform related tasks. A company travel card is provided, and mileage is reimbursed when applicable.
Responsibilities- Travel to events across the U.S. and work long hours, including weekends and overnight periods.
- Install and uninstall timing devices and associated signage at assigned events.
- Conduct on‑site maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical devices during events.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving of event clocks and materials, and manage related paperwork.
- Prepare post‑event reports and documentation.
- Keep all devices clean, operational, and properly stored, including warehousing responsibilities.
- Adapt to changing schedules and last‑minute event requirements with minimal supervision.
- Represent the brand to clients, business partners, and the public, demonstrating professionalism and strong teamwork.
- BA degree preferred; associate degree required.
- Certification in electronics preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in event installations or electrical work.
- Strong knowledge of computer skills, travel industry software, electronics, electrical repair, and OSHA standards.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain high levels of self‑motivation.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, carry up to 150 pounds, and work in extreme weather conditions.
Frequent standing and walking, data entry on a desktop computer, use of tools such as hammers and drills, occasional sitting and bending, and lifting or carrying no more than 150 pounds. Work may be conducted in extreme weather and at high noise levels during sporting events. Normal schedule is 37.5 hours per week, with occasional long hours and travel.
CompensationSalary range: $75,000 – $95,000. Non‑exempt FLSA status.
