What You'll Be Doing

As a Porter, your day‑to‑day work will involve assisting the team in maintaining the physical condition of the community, ensuring market‑ready apartments, and responding to resident service requests promptly. Additionally, you will report any maintenance concerns and deliver resident communication as needed.

• Maintaining the physical condition of community grounds, exterior, and common areas
• Assisting in preparing market‑ready apartments, including painting, carpet cleaning, and general repairs
• Responding to resident service requests promptly
• Performing various maintenance functions, such as exterior light bulb changes and equipment maintenance
• Assisting other service staff with projects, including apartment cleaning and drywalling
• Scheduling:
  Saturday–Monday 7 am–4 pm, Tuesday & Wednesday 2 pm–11 pm, 1 hr unpaid meal break;
  Off Thursday & Friday

• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with good driving record and auto insurance if required to operate a motorized vehicle during the day
• Computer literacy and effective communication skills: must communicate orally and in writing in English for all work‑related purposes
• Availability to work any assigned shift, including weekends. Shifts may change according to business needs. Must respond to emergencies after normal business hours and on weekends when on‑call. A phone number reachable after hours must be provided to manager.
• Ability to perform numerous physical activities that require considerable use of hands, arms, and legs, including prolonged standing, walking, climbing, sweeping, stooping, kneeling, shoveling, crouching, lifting and handling materials up to 50 lbs.
• Ownership of a personal smartphone, if required, that is password protected and compliant with in‑house security systems and operations software

US $22.33 per hour

• Eligible for overtime pay, performance incentives; subject to Union and Equity Introductory Period (90 days)
• Preference given to employees currently employed in the building based on seniority; otherwise training, ability, efficiency, past performance, and professionalism are considered
