Porter, Maintenance​/Cleaning

The Porter plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our Bronx production facility. You will work closely with the kitchen/facility team to ensure that all cleaning, dishwashing tasks are handled efficiently to maintain a smooth operation.

• Cleaning:
  Ensure that all facility areas, including floors, counters, and storage areas, are kept clean and organized at all times. Perform daily deep cleans as per the schedule.
• Dishwashing:
  Operate and maintain the dishwashing machines, ensuring all crockery, cutlery, and kitchen utensils are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and stored appropriately.
• Waste Management:
  Manage waste and recycling processes by emptying bins, following recycling protocols, and ensuring the disposal area is kept clean.
• Stock Management:
  Assist in the unloading, checking, and storage of deliveries. Be responsible for organization of supplies.
• Health & Safety Compliance:
  Adhere to all health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and company procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Equipment Maintenance:
  Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean, and report any maintenance or repair needs to the management.

• Ability to be flexible with job demands and open-minded when being asked to complete tasks.
• Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to clean the facility.
• Ability to operate with grace under pressure.
• Ability to work onsite at varied hours/days, based on business needs and hours of operation, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand for up to 8-10 hours a day.
• Willingness to maintain a clean, healthy, and safe working environment.
• Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
• On occasion, may be required to lift and carry, push or pull heavy objects up to 50 pounds; kneel, bend, ascend and descend stairs; reach and grab objects.
