Cleaner – Hutchings Psychiatric Center

Location:

620 Madison St., Syracuse, NY 13210. This is a full‑time, permanent position offered in the Labor Class (Salary Grade 05). Salary ranges from $34,312 to $42,565 annually.

• Perform a variety of cleaning tasks with medium to heavy physical effort, including washing walls, bathrooms, dining rooms, floors, corridors, stairs, and stairwells in patient care areas.
• Clean spilled bodily fluids and collect and transport waste in accordance with infection control guidelines.
• Clean and polish furniture and move furniture as needed to prepare for cleaning.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

• No specific education or experience is required.
• Applicants must be physically able to perform the job duties.
• Applicants must understand and follow written or oral instructions.
