Porter

We are seeking a full-time Porter to support a pharmaceutical facility by maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant environment through janitorial and basic maintenance duties.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily janitorial and floor care tasks (sweep, mop, scrub, polish)
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment
• Support general facility and basic maintenance needs
• Conduct first-level upkeep of equipment and work areas
• Assist with snow removal and site safety
• Follow SOPs, GMP guidelines, and all safety requirements
• Complete inspections, cleaning tasks, and documentation as required
• Communicate issues and complete additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of janitorial or facility maintenance experience (pharma/GMP preferred)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders
• Ability to read and follow written instructions (SOPs)
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment and procedures
• Basic mechanical aptitude; exposure to electrical, plumbing, or piping systems is a plus
• Experience in cleanroom or regulated environments preferred
• Reliable, team-oriented, and detail-focused

Work Environment:

• Full-time, onsite (6:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.)
• Active role involving standing, lifting, and cleaning in a GMP-regulated facility
• Respirator use may be required in controlled environments

This is a contract position based out of Port Washington, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
