What We Need
The role of the Maintenance Process Lead is to implement, maintain and continuously improve the Maintenance Work Planning & Scheduling program for their assigned line(s) which ensures the lines are not constrained due to the lack of technical capability or knowledge. The role provides a continuity link to other preventative maintenance systems or processes, and across other line teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance processes, preventative maintenance programs, an analytical approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
What You Will Do
Key Responsibilities:
- Preventative Maintenance Planning & Execution:
Develop and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for all production equipment and machinery. Schedule regular inspections, servicing, and maintenance of equipment to minimize downtime and prevent operational disruptions. Create and maintain detailed maintenance logs and records for all machinery and equipment. Coordinate with production teams to ensure minimal disruption during scheduled maintenance activities. - Process Improvement & Optimization:
Analyze equipment performance data to identify opportunities for improving reliability and efficiency. Work with maintenance and engineering teams to implement process improvements, troubleshoot issues, and optimize machinery performance. Identify and address recurring equipment failures or inefficiencies through root cause analysis and corrective actions. Adjust the annual PM calendar as appropriate. - Maintenance Technician As needed to determine changes to PM programs and perform root cause analysis, will perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Compliance & Safety:
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company safety standards, local regulations, and industry best practices. Promote and support safety initiatives in the workplace, ensuring all maintenance tasks are completed in a safe manner. Assist in the preparation of safety audits and assessments as required. - Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment condition, spare parts usage, and service history. Generate detailed reports on maintenance activities and performance metrics for management review. Recommend and assist in the procurement of spare parts, tools, and equipment needed to support preventative maintenance efforts. - Team
Collaboration:
Work closely with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to ensure the continuity of operations. Provide training to maintenance staff and operators on best practices for equipment upkeep and preventative maintenance. Participate in cross-functional meetings to discuss equipment performance, maintenance schedules, and process improvements.
What You Need To Be Successful
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, or related field is preferred. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in preventative maintenance in a manufacturing setting or role. Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Proficient in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or similar software to schedule and track maintenance tasks.
