Under the direction of the Supervisor, ensure that all laboratory areas are properly maintained. This is a nonprofessional position with no supervisory responsibility. Assist the laboratory staff in maintaining workstations in the clinical laboratories: stocking supplies, rotating waste containers, storing and purging specimens, cleaning laboratory equipment, examining cleaned equipment to detect damaged or broken equipment, sterilizing glassware and equipment as needed, transporting specimens between patient care areas and laboratories, and delivering them to the appropriate testing area.

This is a full‑time day shift position, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, including some weekends and holidays. Work is Monday–Friday with rotating weekends and holidays, located at New York‑Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

• Six months of laboratory or hospital‑based experience

• High School Diploma or GED
• Computer literacy

All roles require on‑site presence. All employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

$25.58–$27.49 per hour
