Maintenance Team Lead

Compensation: $30.00–$35.00 per hour
Location: Rockland County

The Sentinel of Rockland is seeking a skilled, hands-on, and dependable Maintenance Leadto oversee the maintenance operations of our assisted living community. This role is responsible for ensuring a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for our residents, visitors, and staff.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, leadership experience, and a commitment to providing exceptional service in a senior living setting.

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and facility improvement projects while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and community standards. This position supervises maintenance staff and serves as the primary point of contact for facility-related issues.

• Oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of the community.
• Supervise, train, and schedule maintenance team members.
• Perform and coordinate preventative maintenance programs.
• Ensure all building systems are functioning properly, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, and life safety systems.
• Conduct routine inspections of the building, grounds, and equipment.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations.
• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors as needed.
• Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and regulatory documentation.
• Assist with budgeting, inventory management, and purchasing of maintenance supplies.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations.
• Support community renovations, upgrades, and special projects.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in assisted living, healthcare, hospitality, or residential facilities.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve facility issues efficiently.
• Experience working with vendors and contractors.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as required.
