Position Title: Housekeeper

Department: Operations

Reports To: Housekeeping Manager

Classification: Part time, Non-exempt

Compensation: $22.00 an hour

• Under direction of the Housekeeping Manager or Supervisor, performs general cleaning throughout the facility. Cleans floors, including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and waxing. Cleans and stocks bathrooms.
• Dusts areas that contain furniture, such as offices.
• Cleans windows.

Experience/Training/Education

• Desirable:
  At least one-year experience in a housekeeping or janitorial position.

Knowledge/Abilities/Skills

• Safe work practices.
• General cleaning procedures.

• Read, write, and speak English.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Work in a team atmosphere.
• Maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
• Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in addition to normal business hours.

• Operate radio devices.
• Operate equipment, scrubbers (riding and walk behind), sweepers (riding), vacuums, etc.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• This position requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, and lifting 25 lbs. throughout the day as well as working at the computer; irregular hours will be required.
• May be required to work with hazardous chemicals/materials.
• This position may require work inside or outside the building, as needed by events.
• Must be able to pass background.
