Position OverviewS:
US is seeking a Maintenance Worker for their families with children shelter in Brooklyn.
This position is located at Dumont Avenue Brooklyn, NY, 11207
Scope of RoleCarry out minor repairs and building maintenance throughout assigned areas of the facility. This includes painting, plastering, repairing furniture, maintaining smoke detectors and fire extinguishers, as well as exterior snow and ice removal and upkeep of the grounds. Responsibilities also include sidewalk maintenance, mowing grass, trimming shrubbery, maintaining landscaping, rodent removal, and all other aspects of building exterior.

- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- NYS Driver’s License preferred.
- Bi‑lingual English/Spanish speaking preferred.
- At least two years of building maintenance experience in a large residential/institutional setting working with a special‑needs population.
- Must possess good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with a culturally diverse population.
