Responsibilities
- Apply plastering materials to interior and exterior surfaces using hawk, trowel, Darby, slicker. Work with dots and screeds.
- Apply plaster coats: scratch, brown and finish.
- Construct and plaster lathing bases (channel iron, wire lath, etc.).
- Perform dust control and cleanup.
There are no formal education or experience requirements for this position.
Applicants may need to provide a letter of recommendation from their NYCHA supervisor if they are current NYCHA employees. NYCHA employees applying for transfer, promotional, title or level change opportunities must have served a period of one year at their current location and in their current title and level (if applicable).
Additional RequirementsTravel to developments within the assigned neighborhood is required; frequency determined by the Neighborhood Administrator. Covered area includes Manhattan Neighborhood 05 (East River, Jefferson, Wagner, and Wilson).
