Facilities Operations Administrator
Location: 1 Metro Tech, Brooklyn, NY (Fully Onsite)
Compensation: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour Type: Temporary (0–12 months), 35 hours per week Employment

We are seeking a dedicated, energetic, and self-motivated professional to join the Campus Operations team in Downtown Brooklyn. In this essential role, you will be a proactive force in maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient environment across our campus facilities. Key Responsibilities- Quality Control & Inspections: Conduct daily campus walkthroughs to ensure all facilities are functional and meet safety/cleanliness standards. Identify maintenance issues and develop solutions for long-term improvements.
- Work Order Management: Receive, track, and manage work order requests. Ensure timely resolution and elevate critical issues to the Facilities Operations Manager to maintain service expectations.
- Vendor Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for internal teams and external vendors. Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and installations while ensuring high-quality service and timely completion.
- Help Desk Management: Monitor, prioritize, and update the status of facility tickets to maintain an efficient workflow and keep campus stakeholders informed.
- Self-Motivation: The ability to handle tasks autonomously and troubleshoot facility issues with minimal guidance.
- Operational Organization: Highly detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple moving parts effectively.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate seamlessly with contractors, vendors, and university staff.
- Technical Savvy: Proficiency in Google Suite and familiarity with facility management software or ticketing systems.
- Prior experience in facilities, property management, building services, or a similar operational role.
- A proactive approach to troubleshooting and a track record of providing practical solutions to physical plant challenges.
This position is fully onsite in Brooklyn. We are looking for a candidate who is ready to start immediately.
