Fireman Maintenance Mechanic – Facilities Maintenance – Sat – Wed (3:30 PM – 11:30 PM). This position requires strong building maintenance knowledge (HVAC/R, electrical, and plumbing).

• Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent engineering degree.
• Previous high‑pressure steam experience.

• High school diploma or GED / trade school or specialty school.
• G71 Certificate of Fitness within three months of employment.
• FDNY Certificate of Fitness P‑98 Fuel Oil Piping and Bulk Storage within 6 months of starting in role.
• FDNY Certificate of Fitness A‑35 Operate and Maintain Air Compressors within 6 months of starting in role.
• FDNY‑Certificate of Fitness S‑95 Supervision of Fire Alarms Systems within 6 months of starting in role.
• Basic computer literacy.
• MUST be a competent mechanic capable of performing demanding workload and willing to work rotating shifts.

All roles require on‑site presence; employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse travel expenses.
