Maintenance Director
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Shift: Full-Time
Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 per year (Based on experience)
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Director to oversee the maintenance operations of our healthcare facility. This is a hands-on leadership role for a proactive professional who is comfortable managing a team while actively participating in daily maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee and actively participate in daily maintenance operations, including plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, painting, generators, and general facility repairs.
- Perform routine inspections to ensure all equipment, systems, and infrastructure are safe, compliant, and operating efficiently.
- Schedule, supervise, and support maintenance team members to ensure effective coverage and timely completion of tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, warranties, preventive maintenance schedules, and facility documentation.
- Respond promptly and professionally to emergency maintenance situations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and healthcare facility requirements.
- Coordinate facility repairs, renovations, upgrades, and installation of new equipment.
- Monitor maintenance supplies, equipment, and inventory while assisting with budgeting and cost management.
- Partner with administration and department leaders to maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and facility operations.
- Communicate effectively through internal communication channels, including team group chats.
- Must be available 24/7 for emergency maintenance needs.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, repairs, and general maintenance practices, preferably within a healthcare or skilled nursing environment.
- Proven leadership skills with a hands-on management style and the ability to lead by example.
- Ability to independently assess issues, make sound decisions, and resolve problems efficiently.
- Experience inspecting and maintaining facility infrastructure, equipment, and resident rooms.
- Ability to manage maintenance supplies, equipment, vendors, and budgets.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and implement new maintenance techniques and technologies.
