Custodial Worker I
Location:
Northport Middle School
Hours:
3:00 p.m.
- 11:00 p.m.
General Description:
Under the direct supervision of the Head Custodian, the Custodian performs a variety of moderate to heavy manual tasks to maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the school building and its surrounding grounds during an assigned shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain floors, desks, furniture, windows, and interior walls to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Scrub, mop, wax, and polish various floor surfaces to preserve their condition.
- Dust and polish furniture; perform minor maintenance such as tightening bolts and nuts.
- Relocate furniture and equipment between rooms and designated areas as needed.
- Empty trash and garbage receptacles, washing them as necessary.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned to support the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the facility.
Compensation:
Contract rate $64,082 with a highly competitive benefits package
