New York Shuttle Drivers​/Maintenance

Overview

The Maintenance/Valet role maintains facility and public areas by providing custodial, grounds-keeping, and repair services. The role is also responsible for transporting customer goods from their home to the designated facility.

• Maintains facility by sweeping hallways, stairs, and storage spaces, including restroom areas
• Cleans snow and debris from sidewalk, mows lawn, trims shrubbery, and cultivates flowers
• Maintains buildings, which includes performing minor and routine painting and other related maintenance activities
• Notifies management concerning needs for major repairs
• Maintains building accessibility
• Works to maintain operational continuity between shifts
• Safely transport customer belongings to and from specific locations in a timely manner
• Properly maintain company vehicle with regular cleanings and maintenance
• Ensure that the vehicle and the belongings inside are properly secured at all times
• Report any accidents, injuries, and/or vehicle damage to management immediately
• Regional travel to other facilities as needed

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 2 + years custodial, maintenance, or grounds keeping experience
• Valid driver’s license with at least 1 year of driving experience
• Clean driving record as verified via MVR check
• Excellent navigation skills including ability to effectively use navigation applications to find locations in order to manage travel time
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to apply common sense and logic to solve problems
• Ability to make basic repairs using simple tools and equipment
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors

This position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a typical office setting with occasional field work.

Frequent:
Squatting, kneeling, reach above and at shoulder height, climbing up and down a ladder, performing various maintenance duties (i.e. sweeping, painting, replacing light bulbs, and roof inspections); lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs. from below waist to above shoulders and transporting items from one end of a facility to the other end, which averages around 500 feet. Sitting in a vehicle driver’s seat for extended periods of time.

Vision:
Ability to see in the normal visual range with or without correction.

Hearing:
Ability to hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.

$17.00 - $19.00 per hour depending on experience plus bonus opportunities
