Typical work activities include making regular inspections of buildings and grounds to maintain proper cleaning and maintenance procedures and making recommendations for improvements or new equipment; scheduling and assigning cleaning and maintenance work of custodial workers; inspecting maintenance work performed by outside contractors; checking to ensure that buildings are heated, cleaned, locked, and unlocked and in readiness for all activities carried on;
assisting with cleaning and maintenance activities when necessary; reporting any acts of vandalism or breakage to proper authorities.
