Job Opportunity
We are hiring immediately! We are looking for a Porter to maintain the outdoor features and common areas of residential properties. The role focuses on landscaping, lawn care, snow and ice removal, trash removal, and general cleanliness of common facilities such as pools, spas, club rooms, laundry rooms, parking areas, and exterior lighting. The Porter also assists with general maintenance tasks and professional cleaning services for residents.
Qualified candidates must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Key Responsibilities- Maintain the physical condition of the property according to The Scion Group’s Standard Operating Procedures, OSHA, and industry standards.
- Remove trash and debris from common areas on a continuous basis.
- Sweep and remove debris from curbs, parking areas, walkways, and stairways as scheduled.
- Maintain and repair loose stairwell treads.
- Maintain and repair exterior lighting by replacing burned‑out bulbs and reporting inventory.
- Mow all lawn areas and remove clippings as scheduled.
- Rake and remove leaves and debris from landscaped areas.
- Apply weed and feed to lawn areas; top‑seed and water as needed.
- Install seasonal plantings, replacement shrubs and trees, decorative rock, and water features.
- Trim and prune trees and shrubs as directed.
- Adjust and repair irrigation systems and fountains as needed.
- Clean pool and spa in accordance with manufacturer specifications and code compliance.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs to pool equipment as directed.
- Know the emergency procedures for the property, including water and gas shut‑off valves and access to sewer cleanouts and fuse panels.
- Promote safety awareness to prevent property loss or injury to residents and visitors.
- Adhere to all property policies and procedures.
- Keep drainage grills clean of leaves.
- Pressure wash sidewalks, buildings, pool decks, etc.
- Assist with snow removal at the property as required.
- Maintain required property uniform and present a professional appearance.
- High School/GED or Trade School diploma and at least one year of full‑time experience in lawn or grounds maintenance, or equivalent education and experience.
- Ability to read instructions, document labor, and track materials.
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) preferred.
- Strong punctuality and dependability, with the ability to work under pressure, including after‑hour and weekend emergencies.
- Demonstrates sensitivity and understanding of a diverse resident population and follows the company’s non‑harassment and inclusion policies.

The base salary range for this full‑time position is base + bonus + benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The listed range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new‑hire salaries for the position across all U.S. locations. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and education.
New York Pay Range: $16—$20 USD
