Overview
We re seeking a detail-oriented CMMS Coordinator to support the facilities and maintenance team at our Brooklyn facility. This is a fully computer and data-focused role — not hands-on repair. You ll be the organizational backbone of the maintenance operation, keeping work orders moving, PM schedules on track, and repair costs under control.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the CMMS/work order management system daily — creating, tracking, and closing work orders
- Coordinate with the maintenance tech team to ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed and completed on time
- Work with vendors to schedule repairs, track costs, and drive repair spend down
- Order parts and maintain accurate inventory levels
- Track and report on equipment downtime, repair costs, and parts spend
- Maintain accurate documentation across all maintenance activity
- Support the Facilities Manager with data, reporting, and scheduling needs
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience working in a CMMS or work order management system — this is the core of the role
- Experience in a food production, manufacturing, distribution, or industrial operations environment — required
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working primarily on a computer
- Strong communication skills — ability to coordinate with technicians, vendors, and management
- Proactive, reliable, team-oriented
- Reliable commute to Brooklyn, NY
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Fiix, Maximo, EAM Infor, eMaint, or similar CMMS platforms
- Experience tracking KPIs such as PM compliance and equipment downtime
- Background in food safety compliance (GMP, SQF)
