Groundskeeper
Rondout Valley Central School District is seeking a full-time Groundskeeper.
Qualifications:
One year of full-time paid experience, or its part-time equivalent, in park or grounds maintenance activities. Salary:
Per contract.
General Responsibilities:
Incumbents in this title may perform some or all of the following, as well as other related activities not described.
- Mows, rakes and cuts grass;
- Operates grounds keeping machinery and equipment;
- Performs minor maintenance to grounds keeping machinery and equipment;
- Maintains athletic fields;
- Keeps grounds free of litter;
- Plants and care for trees, shrubs and plants;
- Removes snow and ice from walks, pathways and steps;
- May secure buildings and property;
- May perform routine cleaning and maintenance duties
Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m., with the potential for a shift change to 12:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the discretion of the Director of Facilities. Additional Duties:
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the direct report and/or Superintendent.
