Helper - Shipyard

• Perform property tending duties such as yard repair, snow shoveling, cleaning the pier, mucking the tanks, painting and assisting others.
• May be assigned to unskilled job on the yard.
• Other duties as assigned.

• A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• The ability to follow direction.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• This is an entry-level position.
• Current Transportation Worker’s Identification Card.

• Work involves considerable stooping, bending, and working in overhead structures or scaffolds.
• Helpers are frequently required to wear personal protective equipment.
• He or she must pass a respirator fit test.

The Helper is responsible and accountable to the Yard Foreman.
