Facility: Seagate Rehabilitation and Nursing Center
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Salary: $100,000 per year

Join Our Team

Seagate Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking an experienced and hands-on Director of Maintenance to oversee the daily operations of our Maintenance Department. This role is responsible for ensuring the facility remains safe, compliant, well-maintained, and operating efficiently.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader with experience in building operations, preventative maintenance, life safety systems, and staff supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of the Maintenance Department.

  • Supervise, schedule, train, and support maintenance staff.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and life safety regulations.

  • Conduct routine inspections of the building, equipment, and grounds.

  • Manage preventative maintenance programs for facility systems and equipment.

  • Oversee repairs, renovations, and maintenance projects.

  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, warranties, and compliance documentation.

  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors.

  • Monitor maintenance supplies and equipment inventory.

  • Respond to emergency maintenance situations and ensure timely resolution.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of maintenance leadership experience required.

  • Experience in skilled nursing, healthcare, or long-term care preferred.

  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building systems.

  • Familiarity with nursing home regulations, life safety codes, and compliance standards.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work independently.

  • Availability to respond to emergency maintenance situations as needed.
