About the Opportunity:Chelsea Piers is seeking to hire a Maintenance Associate to join our Maintenance Team at Chelsea Piers Sky Rink. In this role, you will be responsible for the operation of Ice Resurfacing equipment and understanding of Compressor Room equipment. This role reports to the Director of Operations and works with the Maintenance and Housekeeping Departments.
Responsibilities:- Provide outstanding customer service through customer communication, appearance, name tag, and proper approved uniform.
- Keep clear and clean work spaces while working.
- Understand and operation of all tools required to complete jobs and work in a safe and efficient manner.
- Understand and proper operation of Ice Resurfacing equipment.
- Complete ice cuts on time and in the allotted ice in relation to schedule and programming needs, then log in ice cut book.
- Identify and properly fix hazardous conditions both on the ice surface and within rink.
- Complete compressor checks as required every three hours and perform equipment inspection and report issues or areas of concern immediately to supervisor.
- Understand compressor equipment, controls, and readings in relation to normal operations.
- Complete facility walk throughs during shifts and monitors utility rooms, electrical, A/C, Heat, Dehumidification, Temperature, and report any variances to supervisor immediately.
- Repair and maintain nets, boards, and glass when needed.
- Understand Emergency Action Plan.
- Assist with setup and breakdown of all rooms and spaces as required and complete all projects that may be given and assist with Janitorial duties as needed.
- Be aware of facility and report safety issues to supervisor immediately.
- Provide customers with a safe facility and return any found items to Front Office.

You are punctual, professional, and courteous. You are organized and able to work independently when given direction. You possess the following certificates:
- Certificate of Fitness for LPG: use of liquid petroleum gas (G-22)
- Certificate of Fitness for LPG: storage and handling of liquid petroleum gas (G-44).
- First Aid
- CPR
- AED Certificates
Full-Time
Tues-Thurs: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Fri-Sat: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM (overnight)
