Job Description & How to Apply Below

Shared Easy operates 20+ co-living properties across New York City, and we're on track to double. We're hiring the person who will build and lead the field organization that runs them.

This is a leadership job, not a repair job. You will manage Community Managers, cleaning teams, and maintenance staff. You will write the playbooks they run on. You will be the person a landlord calls, a contractor negotiates with, and a difficult resident meets face to face. And you will do all of it from inside the buildings - because standards you don't see with your own eyes aren't standards;

they're hopes.

Two people this is NOT for:

  • If your idea of operations is dashboards, Zoom calls, and a team that "handles the ground" - this isn't your role. We've hired that profile before. It doesn't work here.
  • If your instinct is to fix everything yourself
, this also isn't your role. We need someone who builds the system that makes their own presence unnecessary, not someone who becomes the single point of failure.

The right person is a hospitality-grade operator who leads people, writes standards, and holds a line - and who would rather walk twenty properties a week than sit in twenty meetings.

About Shared Easy

Shared Easy is a NYC-based co-living and residential hospitality company. For seven years we've offered furnished, all-inclusive shared homes for young professionals, students, and newcomers to New York - combining real estate, hospitality, community, and technology. We're building the operational infrastructure to lead this category.

What Success Looks Like
  • Your Community Managers run move-ins, move-outs, and daily property checks to a written standard — certified before they work independently, and consistent even though the cohort turns over every three months.
  • Every property passes inspection-level standards without you personally checking it.
  • Rooms are guest-ready on move-in day, every time - verified, not self-reported.
  • Maintenance tickets close within SLA, and repeat issues become preventive work.
  • Cleaning, maintenance, and CM teams run on playbooks you wrote
, with real accountability behind them.
  • Landlords name you as the reason they renewed.
  • The CEO learns the state of operations from your weekly dashboard, not from being pulled into a move-in.
What You'll Own

1. Lead the field team. Hire, train, schedule, coach, and hold standards for Community Managers, cleaning staff, and maintenance. This includes the hard part: addressing weak performance quickly, fairly, and with consequences. Roughly 10–20 people across the portfolio.

2. Build the Community Manager operating layer. CMs are the face of Shared Easy to every resident and they rotate every few months. You'll design the onboarding, the certification standard, the move-in and move-out procedures, the photo-evidence and reporting expectations, and the weekly scorecard that makes a temporary team dependable.

3. Write the playbooks. SOPs, checklists, inspection standards, and training materials for all three teams - so quality depends on systems, not on any one person. This is a core deliverable, not a side project.

4. Own property standards in the field. Spend 50%+ of your time on-site. Walk the properties, run inspections, and see problems before residents report them. You'll know the difference between clean, functional, safe, and guest-ready.

5. Direct the maintenance function and the vendors. Prioritize and scope work, dispatch the right resource, verify the quality, and control the cost. You'll manage a maintenance technician and outside contractors - you won't be turning wrenches. You do need enough building-systems literacy to form a hypothesis before you dispatch and to challenge a technician's diagnosis or a vendor's quote with reasoning.

6. Be the…
