HN- Housekeeper - Northern Westchester County, NY

Overview

A private household is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual for a full-time housekeeping position in Northern Westchester County, NY. The candidate must live within a 30-45 minute maximum commute to Northern Westchester. Punctuality and on-site availability are essential for this role. This role requires a high degree of flexibility, reliability, and discretion, with responsibilities centered around maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in a private household setting.

The ideal candidate will have a highly flexible schedule and be available to work 5–6 days per week. Shifts will rotate and may include morning and evening hours.

Sample shift times include:

• 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

When the family isn’t there, shifts are flexible. The property is over 10,000 sq. feet with 10 bathrooms.

The housekeeper will be required to go into Manhattan at times to clean the family's residence there; the team of housekeepers is on rotation between the residences, but this role is primarily in Northern Westchester. The family also has residences in the Hamptons and Bay Area, CA so flexibility for travel as needed will be required of this role. The candidate to hire ideally resides in Westchester area or northern part of Manhattan.

Bronx or lower Westchester can be okay.

• Perform deep cleaning of all household areas, ensuring impeccable standards of cleanliness and organization.
• Manage heavy laundry loads, including care for linens, delicate couture garments, and fine fabrics. Knowledge of fabric care, stain removal, and garment preservation is essential.
• Provide evening turndown service, maintaining a welcoming and restful environment in bedrooms.
• Assist with household organization and support general upkeep tasks as needed.
• Maintain discretion and professionalism at all times while working in a private home.
• Be available and willing to travel with the family on occasion, providing housekeeping support while traveling.

• Proven experience in high-end residential housekeeping or similar professional setting.
• Excellent knowledge of cleaning techniques, fabric care, and laundry best practices.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a pristine environment.
• Flexibility in schedule and ability to adapt to changing needs.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel, if required.
• Speak both English & Spanish
• Can move fast–high turnover especially in the mornings
• Comfortable with dog care as there are 3 small dogs in the household

• $45-50/hour
• Full time employees are covered under the group medical/dental/vision plan plus 401K
• Full time employees are eligible for two weeks of vacation each calendar year (pro-rated)
