Floor Care Housekeeping Aide Full Time. Evenings.
Join Bertrand Chaffee Hospital, a non‑profit organization dedicated to providing essential health resources to our community, as a Floor Care Housekeeping Aide in our Springville facilities. As a key member of our Floor Care team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the consistent upkeep of our facilities, performing floor cleaning, stripping and waxing, as well as general housekeeping duties to protect the health and safety of our patients, visitors, and staff.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented individual to join our Floor Care team. As a Floor Care Housekeeping Aide, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and housekeeping tasks, including operating floor buffers, scrubbers, and carpet extractors, collecting medical waste, preparing cleaning equipment for isolation, and maintaining stock levels for each department.
Responsibilities- Operate floor buffer, scrubber, and carpet extractor
- Utilize established infection control and standard precaution techniques in the performance of all duties
- Clean surfaces and fixtures throughout the facility according to established policies and procedures
- Collect medical waste, prepare cleaning equipment for isolation, and maintain stock levels for each department
- Perform second round check of duties before leaving for the day to ensure cleanliness and adequate levels are being met
- Maintain closets, carts, linen, trash, recyclables, and medical waste storage areas, and equipment in a safe, clean, and orderly condition
- Damp dust, wash walls and doors
- Responsible collection of soiled linen and laundry, and distributing clean items
- High School/GED preferred
- Previous history of stable employment
- Previous commercial cleaning experience strongly preferred
- Must be available to work weekend and holiday rotations
- Physical requirements of the role: stand, climb, walk, sit, use hands to manipulate, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. Must utilize step ladder and/or balance. Must occasionally lift 25-50 pounds and/or push/pull up to 150-250 pounds.

- Hourly rate: $16.12 - $17.29/hour based on experience
