onsemi EFK is seeking highly skilled and motivated technicians to become part of our state‑of‑the‑art 300mm factory in Hopewell Junction, East Fishkill, New York. Equipment/Maintenance Technicians sustain and run the fab floor with the primary responsibility of resolving equipment and process issues. Technician positions are shift positions working a compressed week of 12‑hour shifts. onsemi is a 24/7 manufacturing facility providing technician support across all shifts.

• Night shift 2:
  Wednesday, Thurs, Friday, e/o Saturday 6:30 PM‑7:00 AM Includes 15% Shift Differential

Subject to your commencing employment with us, you will also be eligible to receive a sign‑on award in the gross amount of $5,000, which will be paid in 4 quarterly payments of $1,250 each (subject to applicable taxes and payroll deductions). The first payment is payable within the first 30 days of you joining onsemi and quarterly thereafter for 3 additional payments.

You must be an active employee with onsemi to receive these sign‑on awards. In addition, if your employment is terminated with onsemi for any reason, the sign‑on award(s) received as of the date of your termination do not need to be repaid to onsemi

• Monitor, control, and qualify state of the art 300mm Rie Dry Etch semiconductor equipment
• Perform, and teach others how to perform, preventive maintenance activities
• React to error messages of factory systems and/or equipment
• Review Statistical Process Control charts and other system indicators for process quality and react to Out of Control conditions including defect troubleshooting
• Perform, and teach others how to perform, visual inspections (quality check)
• Recover from process and tool interruptions
• Identify and address potential areas for improvement and optimize tool availability, cycle time, utilization and cost
• Complete all required reporting and documentation
• Understand and follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures and requirements
• Actively participate in continuous improvement processes, learning and skills development
• Strong team member, able to work well with a global team, train new team members as needed and other duties as assigned
• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

• Education:
  
  High School Degree (or equivalent)
• 2+ years of experience in a semiconductor fab or technical support role preferred.
• Familiarity with Rie semiconductor process modules and equipment (e.g., Axcellis, LAM, Tel)
• Technical knowledge:
  Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, vacuum technology, and plasma physics. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Problem-solving:
  Excellent troubleshooting skills to isolate and remedy complex issues on advanced equipment.
• Adaptability:
  Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while dealing with shifting priorities in a fast‑paced, 24/7 manufacturing facility.
