Maintenance Technician George

Location: George County Hospital
Department: Maintenance / Facilities
Schedule: Full-Time (On-Call Required)
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor / Administrator

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the facility, equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This role performs routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs while supporting overall facility operations. The technician will also participate in an on-call rotation to respond to after-hours maintenance needs.

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, equipment, and grounds
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general facility issues
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and facility policies
• Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance logs
• Assist with facility inspections and regulatory compliance
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours and emergency maintenance needs

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous maintenance or facilities experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs
• Ability to use tools and maintenance equipment safely
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Must be available for on-call rotation
