In this role, the successful candidate

Position Summary:

Responsible for the delivery of clean linen items and scrubs to distribution points throughout the hospital. Inspects linen closets for quantities and delivers appropriate par levels. Replenishes scrubmachines as needed. Consolidate linen trucks and stores linen in clean linen room. Properly utilizes the hand‑held data collection devices for restocking of linen closets.

• Ensure all clean linen is weighed inupon delivery. Allclean linen isimmediately takento the authorizedclean linen storage room.
• Performs other duties as assigned in a manner that is in keeping with departmental
  
  Customer Service Standards.
• Inspects all linen as it is delivered to the units, ensure that linen is free of stains, smells,etc.
• As required: delivery of scrubs to dispensing machines are performed. Soiled scrub pickupis performed and soiled scrubs are brought down to the bulk soiled linen collectionroom.
• Clean linen bulk storage room:
  Carts are consolidated, empty bins are taken to the soiledchute room. Data collected is downloaded. Room is maintained in a neat and organizedfashion at all times.
• Clean linen is takento distributionpoints. Inventory ofon-hand supplies istaken and recordedusing the hand‑held device. Units are restocked with the appropriate levels oflinen.
• Transport of linen to designated locations transport of certain hazardous/universal wastes from designated hospital locations to the main hospital accumulation area.

To qualify you must have a

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be able to read, speak, write and follow written and oral instructions in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

High school diploma or the equivalent . Combination of education and experience in a related field.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
