Position Summary:

Receives and stores perishable and dry goods items.

Position Responsibilities:

• Stores perishable and dry goods items, ensuring accuracy of the FIFO system
• Segregates dented cans and outdated items
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms organized
• Communicates with managerial staff about any storage issues, inventory, or damaged merchandise
• Conducts inventories as needed
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Experience & Educational Background:

• High school diploma
• 2 to 4 years of related experience is required
• Knowledge of Kosher dietary laws is also preferred
• Good organizational skills
• Must be able to handle food according to established sanitary guidelines
• Speaks to clients and colleagues in a respectful and thoughtful manner
• Creative thinker with original ideas

Salary Range:

Grade 5

1199 New Hire rate: $28.06 and 1199 One Year of Service rate: $28.63
