Description

Beechwood Homes is looking for a part time Dining Service Aide!

Responsibletoperformavarietyofactivitiesandservicesnecessary tomeettheneedsandcomfortsofthepatientsincluding cleaning,meal service,laundry, and patient support services.

• Maintainssanitationstandardsinpantryand dining areas.
• Preparesandassistswiththeset-up,clean-upandserviceof hot andcold beverages,meals,dessertsandnourishmentsaccordingtoproceduresasoutlined inthehouseholdmanualhonoringresidentpreferencesandchoices.
• Assistspatientsduringmealtimeswithinthescopeoftraining.
• Maintainsabasicknowledgeofdiets,portionsizesandmealintakedocumenting process.
• Notifies nurse,diettechnicianorregistereddieticianwhenapatientindicatesa desire toaltermealorsnackpreferences.
• Usesproperfoodlabelingandfoodstorageproceduresforbothrefrigeratedand drygoods. Datesandlabelsleftovers.
  
  Rotatesfoodstockperestablished standards.
• Observesallsafetyrulestoprotectpatients,visitorsandco-workersfromknown orpredictablekitchen/dining area hazards.
• Maintainsdailyhouseholdrecordsincludingbutnotlimitedtorefrigeratorand freezertemperaturelogs,dishwashertemperaturelogs,foodtemperaturelogsand cleaningandsupplylog ss
• Welcomesnewpatientsduringtheadmissionprocess,makingeveryeffortwith therestofthecareteamtolearnasmuchaspossibleaboutthepatientshabits, customs,routinesandpreference s .
• Answerscalllightsandassistswithpatientsrequestswithinthescopeoftraining.
• RefersanyrequeststhatcannotbemettotheCNA ' s ornurseinatimelymanner.
• Encouragessocializationandinvolvementofpatientsindailyactivitiesthrough oneononeinteractionsandsupportingfamilyandvisitorinvolvement.
• Assistswithtakingpatientstoandfromactivitiesandappointments. Maypush wheelchairsand/orwalkwithindependentpatients.
• Responsibleforsafeworkpractices. Complieswithallsafetyregulationsand policies.
• Participateswithdiningroomcleanlinessandorganization,cleaning floors, emptying trash,dustinganddoinglaundryaccordingtoproceduresasoutlinedin thehouseholdmanualhonoringresidentpreferencesandchoices.
• Restocksfoodrelatedsuppliesandcleaningsupplies.
• Actively participates asamemberoftheteam, in improving qualityof care/service.
• Participatesinresidentplanofcareby providinginputregardingresidentneeds and preferences.
• Maintains confidentiality ofallpertinentfacility,staffandpatientcare information.
• Participatesinin-serviceeducationclasses,onthejobtrainingprogramsand meetingsasrequired.
