The Pavilion at Queens in Flushing is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team!
We are looking for a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Supervisor with strong leadership skills and solid general maintenance experience to help oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of our facility. The Maintenance Supervisor will work closely with the Director of Maintenance on projects and daily operations and will assume responsibility for the maintenance department in the Director's absence.
ResponsibilitiesWork closely with the Director of Maintenance on facility projects, repairs, preventive maintenance, and day-to-day maintenance operations.
Assist in supervising and coordinating the maintenance team and daily assignments.
Assume responsibility for the maintenance department and oversee daily operations when the Director of Maintenance is not present.
Perform and oversee preventive and proactive maintenance throughout the facility, including plumbing, electrical, construction, HVAC, mechanical, and general building maintenance.
Coordinate daily maintenance activities and ensure work is completed properly and in a timely manner.
Help ensure the facility, equipment, and resident living areas are properly maintained and meet safety and operational standards.
Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Respond to routine and urgent maintenance needs in a timely and professional manner.
Assist with planning, coordinating, and completing maintenance projects as directed by the Director of Maintenance.
Provide guidance and direction to maintenance staff as needed.
Assist with additional maintenance-related duties and projects as assigned.
Minimum of 2 years of general maintenance experience; supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, construction, HVAC, mechanical, and general building maintenance.
Ability to lead and work effectively with a maintenance team.
Healthcare or skilled nursing facility experience is a plus.
Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance needs and projects.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Reliable, hardworking, and willing to take initiative.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions when the Director of Maintenance is not present.
