Beechwood Homes is looking for a part time Dining Service Aide!

Hours:

4pm-7pm, rotating weekends and holidays required Pay: $16.00/hour JOB

SUMMARY:

Responsibletoperformavarietyofactivitiesandservicesnecessary tomeettheneedsandcomfortsofthepatientsincluding cleaning,meal service,laundry, and patient support services.

ESSENTIAL

1. Maintainssanitationstandardsinpantryand dining areas
2. Preparesandassistswiththeset-up,clean-upandserviceof hot andcold beverages,meals,dessertsandnourishmentsaccordingtoproceduresasoutlined inthehouseholdmanualhonoringresidentpreferencesandchoices.
3. Assistspatientsduringmealtimeswithinthescopeoftraining.
4. Maintainsabasicknowledgeofdiets,portionsizesandmealintakedocumenting process.
5. Notifies nurse,diettechnicianorregistereddieticianwhenapatientindicatesa desire toaltermealorsnackpreferences.
6. Usesproperfoodlabelingandfoodstorageproceduresforbothrefrigeratedand drygoods. Datesandlabelsleftovers.

Rotatesfoodstockperestablished standards.
8. Observesallsafetyrulestoprotectpatients,visitorsandco-workersfromknown orpredictablekitchen/dining area hazards.

12. Answerscalllightsandassistswithpatientsrequestswithinthescopeoftraining.
13. Encouragessocializationandinvolvementofpatientsindailyactivitiesthrough oneononeinteractionsandsupportingfamilyandvisitorinvolvement.
14. Assistswithtakingpatientstoandfromactivitiesandappointments. Maypush wheelchairsand/orwalkwithindependentpatients.
15. Responsibleforsafeworkpractices. Complieswithallsafetyregulationsand policies.
16. Participateswithdiningroomcleanlinessandorganization,cleaning floors, emptying trash,dustinganddoinglaundryaccordingtoproceduresasoutlinedin thehouseholdmanualhonoringresidentpreferencesandchoices.
17. Restocksfoodrelatedsuppliesandcleaningsupplies.
18. Actively participates asamemberoftheteam, in improving qualityof care/service.
19. Participatesinresidentplanofcareby providinginputregardingresidentneeds and preferences.
20. Maintains confidentiality ofallpertinentfacility,staffandpatientcare information.
21. Participatesinin-serviceeducationclasses,onthejobtrainingprogramsand meetingsasrequired.
